Bali has some of the most picturesque sunsets in the world, and the best place to view them from is a beach club. Whether you’re travelling with family or friends, staying in Seminyak or Canggu, there are beach clubs in Bali that are sure to tick all your boxes.

Besides its temples and natural beauty, Bali’s beach club scene sets it apart from other beach holiday spots. And if you thought that all beach clubs are loud and noisy, with hordes of crowds and loud, thumping music, think again. Bali’s beach clubs will break all these myths and entice you to spend languid evenings sipping cocktails, enjoying great music and watching the sun go down as the sky lights up in shades of pink and purple.

Some of the best beach clubs are located in and around Seminyak and Canggu. If you’re staying in the vicinity, you can try a different one every day and go back home with a clear favourite at the end of your trip.

Here’s our pick of the Top Beach Clubs in Bali:

1. Mari Beach Club

This relatively new beach club opened its doors in March 2022 just as Bali started gearing up to reopen borders. Leaving all competition behind, it is a sight to behold with bamboo domes and cultural references throughout. An architectural marvel, the pavilions and their design pay tribute to Balinese craftsmanship and the wading pool is a delight for children. They welcome families with kids, though the space is so large and spread out that you wouldn’t be left wanting privacy if you went there just with your partner or friends.

Address: Jl Batu Belig No.66, Seminyak

2. KU DE TA

A beach club by day that doubles up as a fine dining destination come evening, KU DE TA is sophisticated and chic. One of the original beach clubs in Bali, it has quite a loyal following, not just amongst those who like to relax in the infinity pool all day long, but by gourmands who love a great brunch with a view or a posh dinner served with aplomb.

Address: Jl Kayu Aya No. 9, Seminyak

3. Potato Head Beach Club

If you’re staying in Seminyak, and want to find the most popular Instagram spot in town, head straight to Potato Head Beach Club. Sit back in bamboo chairs, nibble on great food, sip delicious cocktails, and groove to tunes by international DJs while you are here. The open-air amphitheatre is a great venue for events and its sustainable, zero-waste initiatives make it a magnet for responsible travellers.

4. Finns VIP Beach Club

Though Finns Beach Club holds its own, it is its VIP cousin located next to it that we love. A section reserved for very special people, with exquisite dining and attentive service? Yes, please. If swaying to the music in the two pools is not your scene, head straight to the VIP section and order yourself some delicious fare to relish. The music is managed by popular DJs, though the volume tends to get loud in tune with the vibe.

Address: Jalan Pantai Berawa, Canggu

5. Café del Mar

Bringing Ibiza vibes to Balinese shores, Café del Mar is where you can spend all day and still want to come back for more. The 10,000 square-metre beach club is built over two levels and begs you to flaunt your most stylish swimwear. The infinity pool is massive and it’s always a good idea to check out the events calendar before you make your booking as they host international talent for large-scale outdoor music events.

6. The Lawn

Batu Bolong Beach is fast becoming a happening hot spot and The Lawn can be held partially responsible for that. Relax, catch up with your friends, and laze away the day as beachgoers walk by. They open at noon and the daybeds by the beach are the most popular seats in the house. Nearby, you will find COMO, La Brisa and Favela Chic beach clubs too, if you wish to go club hopping.

7. Mano Beach House

Possibly the smallest one on this list, Mano Beach House packs quite a punch. Tucked into a corner of Petitenget Beach, Mano Beach House is secluded and private. If the larger beach clubs full of crowds are not for you, you’ll love evenings spent at Mano Beach House. The food is Mediterranean-inspired and bean bags offer the best sunset views. Families are welcome.

8. Atlas Beach Fest

Last but not least, we have Atlas Beach Fest. As Bali’s number one destination and one-stop entertainment centre, it plays host to not one, but two of the biggest party destinations on the island. The first is the Atlas Beach Club, with its private stretch of infinity pools and bars along the iconic Berawa beach. The second is the W Atlas Superclub, Bali’s largest nightclub where world-famous DJs spin their tunes all night long.

Atlas Beach Fest also features a wide selection of restaurants, night markets, and department stores for you to shop and dine to your heart’s content.
